Welcome! I am a PhD candidate in the Economics Department at Cornell University. My broad areas of interest are banking, macro-finance, and international finance. I am on the job market and will be available for interviews at the ASSA meetings in Atlanta.
My research lies at the intersection of macroeconomics and finance. In particular, I study the transmission of macroeconomic shocks to the real economy through the banking sector.
In my job market paper, I use a unique natural experiment from Switzerland to provide the first formal evidence on the role of currency mismatch on banks’ balance sheets in the transmission of exchange rate shocks to the real economy.
